Drug Recognition Training in Clarksville

The 7th Tennessee DRE class is being conducted March 8th to 19th in Clarksville. Nineteen officers qualified to participate.

The class has a 10 day curriculum, which includes one live Alcohol workshop and one videotaped workshop. The final exam for the course lasts an average of six to eight hours.

Prior to certification as a DRE each officer must complete 12 field certifications in the presence of a DRE instructor.

Cops In Court Coming to Crossville

The DUI Training division will conduct a Cops in Court class March 22nd and 23rd at the Palace Theatre in Crossville. The class will include:
  • SEARCH INCIDENT TO ARREST POST GANT
  • SEARCH WARRANTS
  • SOBRIETY CHECK POINTS
  • UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF TESTIMONY
  • REPORT WRITING
  • TESTIMONY & DIRECT EXAMINATION
  • CROSS EXAMINATION
  • DIRECT & CROSS EXAMINATION COURTROOM EXERCISE
