Traffic fatality numbers indicate that September, 2010 was much more dangerous than the same month last year.

Eighty Four people died in traffic crashes, sixteen more than last year.

At this point forty three more people have died than in 2009.

763 people are no longer with us after the first nine months of the year.

The Tennessee Supreme Court has reversed a decision by the Court of Criminal Appeals in State v Brotherton. This case caused great confusion and consternation among officers concerning the tail light law. The Court found reasonable suspicion for a possible tail light violation had merit, when white light glared from the partially repaired light.
